Building Mechanical Systems
Units will be conditioned to provide both heat and air conditioning. Bathrooms and dryers will be vented to the outdoors and common areas and corridors will be air-conditioned from packaged rooftop units and heated with gas. Residents will be able to monitor their own heat and air conditioning via the wall-mounted thermostats within each unit.
Ridge House Apartments are part of the Community Revitalization Plan. Because of the project’s unique location, putting it within walking distance of so many neighborhood shopping, service, and recreational amenities, it will be perfect for more active senior residents. The building meets the demand for affordable housing directed toward the large in-place senior population.
The project’s architects and engineers have designed the building to meet or exceed CHFA’s minimum energy efficiency requirements. Click here to see the complete “Green Communities” checklist.
